We design homes and small commercial spaces with a slow, material-led hand — light, oak, wool, stone, and the room left to breathe.
A space should feel resolved before it feels designed.
Atelier Norr works in a small number of projects at a time, close to the people who will live and work in them. We begin with how a room is used through a day — where the morning light lands, where you set down a cup, where the house goes quiet — and let the materials follow from there.
No trend, no showroom set-piece. Just proportion, good light, and surfaces that age well.
Selected work
2019 — 2024Havn Apartment
A harbour-side flat reworked around a single long oak table. We opened the plan toward the water and kept a palette of pale ash, lime plaster and unlacquered brass.
Marka House
A family house at the forest edge. Deep window seats, a stone hearth, and rooms that step down toward the garden as the light changes through the afternoon.
Sten Studio
A ceramicist's working studio and small shopfront. Cool troweled concrete, a wall of open shelving, and north light kept clean and even for the making.
